2022 High School Scholarship Essay Contest

PSR/Sacramento congratulates the winner of our 2022 High School Scholarship Essay Contest, which was open to all high school seniors in Sacramento and surrounding counties.

The prompt for this year’s contest, chosen by a vote of our members, was a statement written by the late American journalist, William Greider, in his 1992 book, Who Will Tell the People: The Betrayal of American Democracy:

“Americans cannot teach democracy to the world until they restore their own.”

$15,000 in scholarships were awarded. The winners in this year’s contest are listed below. Click on the students’ names to read their essays.
